JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Title: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Project Manager

Reports to: General Manager and dotted-line to the BNOCL General Manager

Supervises: N/A

Summary Description

To ensure the successful management of SAP and Kronos related project deliverables through robust governance and control methodologies. To also provide strategic recommendations to enhance project success in line with corporate strategic plans and to identify project issues, risks and inter-dependencies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters Degree from an accredited university in Project Management and not less than 3 years experience in project management OR
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Project Management and 5 years experience in project management OR
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Information Technology and 5 years experience in project management;
  • Industry-recognised certifications in Project Management (PMI or PMP) and,
  • Must have project managed the implementation at least one ERP and one workforce management software application over the last 5 years

Specialist Knowledge Required:

  • Knowledge of SAP would be an asset;
  • Knowledge of Kronos application would be an asset;
  • Knowledge of IT Project Management process, and
  • High level of computer literacy.

  • Must be willing to encourage and support organisational initiatives;
  • Must communicate to the General Manager in a timely manner any difficulty which could impact on the functioning of the Project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert advice on SAP and KRONOS functionality and the use of the best business processes as provided in SAP and KRONOS;
  2. Collect, document and analyse business requirements on the following:
    1. Business processes and parameters required for subsequent configuration. Generate knowledge about the current business process, design and document current business flows and current business processes.
    2. Data transfer mapping facilitating transfer to SAP and KRONOS from the legacy systems
    3. Determining reporting requirements: Standard SAP and KRONOS Reports and any customised Reporting required.
  3. Work with stakeholders to define and coordinate the execution of user acceptance testing scenarios;
  4. Suggest solutions based on best business practices to facilitate the realisation of target benefits by following SAP and KRONOS processes;
  5. Lead project planning sessions, lead schedule development initiatives and develop a change management plan;
  6. Assist in the development of business process aligned with the future vision of the business;
  7. Assist in the master data preparation and other critical activities to ensure successful SAP and KRONOS implementation;
  8. Develop and coordinate training programmes and workshops related to the project;
  9. Provide end-user documentation;
  10. Coordinate with other module SAP AND KRONOS Consultants for Integration requirements;
  11. Provide Functional Specifications to Technical team for any customised developments;
  12. Provide project updates to the Project Steering Committee as requested;
  13. Work with the project teams (internal and external) to provide the necessary guidance and support;
  14. Perform any other duties supporting SAP and KRONOS Implementation as determined by the organisation;
  15. Facilitate the implementation of other software programmes as required;
  16. Implementing project closure processes and documentation and providing implementation reviews as required;
  17. Provide an initial project management tools including but not limited to WBS, CBS, Risk Matrix, S-Curve and produce same, monthly along with variance reports, GAP and SCOPE slide and,
  18. Perform any other related duties as assigned by the General Manager
